Play Date!

I am shameless. When my friend asked me to babysit her sweet Jack, I knew I was going to bust out the fake mustaches from Halloween.

Is it just me or does Benny look a little like Burt Reynolds? Maybe its Tom Sellek? Either the kid can rock a 'stache.

Walking Art Tour

Please step inside my lovely home for a walking art tour, all crayon and pencil drawings done freehand by my gracious, and well behaved children.

Crayon really is their preferred medium, it is striking on a closet door.

Here we have a mixture of pencil and crayon (most likely accessed from their father's bag) in what I believe was a joint effort.
In a rare break from tradition, this artist drew boldly with a ballpoint pen.
And back to the classics:
Oh I hope you enjoyed their artistic expression as much as I do.

I Defy You

to find cuter Colts fans anywhere! obviously not referring to the adults

We are no fair weather bunch here either! I grew up rooting for them with my dad and brother and my husband had to hop on the bandwagon to date me. Fast forward 10 years and this is what we've got :) Debating on splurging on a cheerleader uniform for Gracie. Might be worth $20 for the super cuteness.

A Good Day

Yesterday was really nice. The twinnies went to daycare and it was just Benny and me. I haven't had a day like that in a few weeks. We listened to music, folded laundry, giggled, took pictures, and met a friend for lunch. I really needed the quiet, well, relative quiet, of just one baby. So I got a lot of laundry/organizing done and even made dinner by time daddy and G &T got home (which I almost never do). I felt refreshed and almost peaceful for a few hours.

Thanks little guy.

Random pics

Gracie stealing my new purse as soon as I brought it home. It does go with her outfit.

Never giving them sour cream for dipping EVER. AGAIN.

I feel like a loser, but I just can't bring myself to post cute pics and act all cheery on my blog or facebook yet. Wallowing will not bring Jordan back or prove anything to anyone. I just don't feel ready. The memorial service was great and I think it helped us all gain more closure, but grief (in my experience) is never fully closed. You have good hours and bad, then good days and bad, then it stretches to weeks and longer. But the grief remains. Hopefully, it does not consume, but it remains. It feels wrong to pretend otherwise. I am continuing to pray for those closest to him-his wife, son, parents, siblings, etc. Their long road is still just beginning.
