Halloween Picture FAIL

We finally decided to go with a Wizard of OZ theme for the babies and thought we were being super creative by making (ok, Sean made it-I conceptualized) a set for pictures.

We used their play house, poster board, my old socks for witch feet and hung up a sheet. All in all, we thought it was going to turn out cute! What is that saying about the best laid plans?

The toddlers were not cooperating in any sense of the word. Tate was terrified-literally shaking from fear- at the sight of baby Ben in his lion costume. As seen by his hiding behind the house here:

In hindsight, we should have let them watch us dress Ben instead of just plopping down a lion in front of him.

Regardless, this is just further proof of my theory about babies/toddlers and important events. Anything that you have your hopes up about like great pictures, fancy outfits, and other Leave It To Beaver type moments, will almost certainly be met with spontaneous meltdowns, clothing stains, and chaos. I really think they have a sixth sense about this stuff and test to see just how much we can handle!

Then they shoot you a face like this:

and it's impossible to stay mad/frustrated/disappointed for long.

Surely this was a one time thing! Next time will be better...
